DSL Load Balancing - The DSL Flagship:
DSL load balancing is a dedicated flagship product that offers increased connectivity and accessibility required to cater to the specific and demanding corporate enterprise market segment. The software is designed to work with many different network end users. DSL load balancing also has and offers enhancement of many unique and exciting features.
You can load balance dedicated inboard traffic and handle the specific requirements of all the internal servers that cope and handle all the inbound and outbound web traffic. DSL load balancing also helps to provide additional bandwidth which is the basic requirement of most enterprises that depend wholly on the Internet connectivity for all business operations.
DSL application:
DSL load balancing technolgy is deployed to balance inbound and outbound traffic among multiple DSL lines. This facility is popularly used to increase the desired Internet access speed and provide the sytem and the opertions with redundancy and fault tolerance of the Internet links accessed. The fact is that DSL load balancing is very different from link aggregation. While dedicated link aggregation works at 'layer-2', DSL load balancing is designed to fuction at 'layer-4'. The application of link aggregation requires the presence of two endpoint devices of multiple links to support the deicated aggregation application feature. However, most of the known ADSL service providers do not support the feature of link aggregation. The two links employed from different service providers are used to enhance fault tolerance and performance that in turn, adds to the accessibility and instant connectivity at hand. In the case of every new and additional outbound connectivity request for external access, like a specific requirement to urgently retreive particular information on a web page, the DSL load balancer automatically selects an appropriate external link. The choice of the exteral link depends upon the bytes per second requirement for sending & receiving information, the packets per second, both for sending & receiving information and the least number of established sessions that is a part of the system.
DSL results: The DSL load balancing technology actually rewrites the source address, both the dedicated IP address and the allotted port number, to the information of the selected link. The desired response packets come back from the same link and therefore, it is observed that one outbound connection does not ever run faster than the inherent speed of the external links. The different connections accessed can however, be balanced among multiple external links. This results in a higher and focused aggregated performance which in turn, enhances the existent accessibility possible via the connectivity being used. The use of the DSL load balancing technology helps many businesses to profit from the enhanced access achieved. It has also resulted in a number of business ventures turning towards the wireless technology to reach out and access markets that are located around the world.
